Business advice for all UK firms from starting a business to flotation
Industrial action at the Criminals Record Bureau (CRB) in Liverpool could result in a CRB check taking twice as long as usual to be completed.
Any businesses that wish to carry out a CRB check on employees are being advised to allow more time than normal for the process.
Staff at the CRB are protesting due to only receiving a 0.5% pay rise, and members are refusing to work overtime and exceed targets.
The union warned that the protest could, "go on for weeks."
